You don’t fool me, and my children deserve better, so I’m off.

In order to make valuable comments on the "proposal" (rather a descision or ...) more visible we lift them up for all to see. Here goes:

That’s it then!
How could any sensible parent resist moving their child out of their current structured, more formal, and dare I say, stricter learning and teaching environment into the liberal, kids rule Swedish Education nightmare known as Skolstaden? As for the absolutely nonsensical language used throughout the proposal… Synergy effects… Manifest clear home areas where students, teachers and leaders work in close pedagogic collaboration. If it was not so serious it would be laughable.
Just one tiny detail, but if we lose Grades10, 11 and 12, why move off Maria Park at all? Notice the scribbled afterthoughts about where 10, 11 and 12 go? As I’ve said all along, this move is only about Skolstaden needing the Diploma Programme to be part of its own very poor academic Gymnasium. All the decent schools in Helsingborg became private, and they are the ones our grade 9 children choose if they don’t stay on at ISH to do the Diploma.
So my response to Björn (not that he has asked for our views in case that passed you by).
You don’t fool me, and my children deserve better, so I’m off.

They want to move the ish students to skolstaden not because the sweidsh gymnasiums need the ib program but rather because the facilities at ish are in such bad shape that labs at a diploma level CAN NOT be performed there. If this move was solely to provide more credit to swedish gymnasiums then it is doubtful that they would have moved Filborna IB to begin with, with regards to the fact that Filborna is a swedish gymnasium. The ones who have suffered the most from this move are us students at school staden, thanks to this move we were denied access to 100 000kr worth of new science equipment and have been left with localities below average standards. Having attended ISH up until grade 9 I can safely say that skolstaden is a much better study environment to ISH but pales in comparison to Filborna. I would also like to add, that at this level of education the last thing a student needs is these rigid "student-teacher" rules, with ms.,mr,mrs, etc. A student in the IB program needs to have a close relationship with their teachers, who they are not intimated by. This is provided in the more Liberal Swedish system which allows for greater growth of the student and more personal responsibility being shown. I'd also like to add, that the teachers who were employed by Filbornaskolan before display a greater competence than any teacher at ISH (having gone there for 4 years and having a sibling enrolled in the Diploma program there I have enough insight to determine this). Also, Filborna has had the IB-program for longer than what ISH has had AND the average scores from the graduating classes of Filborna have been significantly higher. So this decision has only been to the benefit of ISH. We at skolstaden are the ones who should be angry. Thank you for compromising our education in order to "save" a dying school, a school which was dying well before this decision was made. I am appalled that this entry and this entire movement. I quite frankly feel ill to my stomach. It's prejudice people like yourself who are the cause of much evil in this world. How dare you judge the Swedish school system when you lack insight in it and have not attended it, or had any larger insight into the Ib program at Filborna skolan. Having much contact with students at ISH and having attended the school myself I feel like my opinions at least have some basis unlike your ridiculous ones. Good day.
